The 49ers, favored in the game, were the favorites to break the scoreless tie (-135), while the Ravens were decent underdogs at +105, according to Bovada. The Ravens have scored more points than anyone in the postseason, with 90 total, but the 49ers had a first-round bye, and scored 36.5 points per game in their first two playoff contests, tops in the league.
In the regular season, there weren’t two teams who scored at a more similar pace than the Niners and Ravens. Baltimore was 10th and San Francisco 11th in points-per-game, at 24.9 and 24.8, respectively. Most of those scoring numbers came when Alex Smith was at the helm, however. Since Kaepernick’s arrival, the offense has been far more potent, and it’s made the difference in the Niners getting to this point.
