The first turnover of the game killed what was shaping up to be a great San Francisco 49ers' drive. After driving from their own 20 to the Baltimore Ravens' 25, running back LaMichael James fumbled and gave the ball back to the Ravens to stop the Niners in their tracks.

LaMichael James ruined a good San Francisco drive with a fumble.
The drive started as the Vernon Davis show. The Ravens had no answer for him, just like they didn't on the previous drive, and he picked up big chunks of yards on each of the 49ers' first two plays of the drive. First, he reeled in a laser from Colin Kaepernick for 29 yards then picked up 10 more on the next play to get to the Ravens' 41.
San Francisco went to the ground from there, giving LaMichael James a carry for nine yards, then running the zone read to Frank Gore for seven more.
But things went south for San Francisco on their next play. James did well to get back to the line of scrimmage on a blown play by the 49ers’ offensive line, but fumbled just before he went down. Big Arthur Jones jumped on it and the Ravens took over at their own 25 as the first turnover of the game bit the 49ers.
