Before the season, Joe Flacco said he was an elite quarterback. Now, after leading the Baltimore Ravens to a Super Bowl victory, wide receiver Anquan Boldin believes Flacco has backed up that statement. In an interview on WNST Baltimore, Boldin said, "I think now his critics can't be found."
Super Bowl 2013: Anquan Boldin says Joe Flacco silenced critics with Ravens win
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin believes Joe Flacco backed up his statement that he is an elite quarterback.

More on the Ravens at Baltimore Beatdown
Flacco received a lot of criticism for counting himself among the best quarterbacks in the league and was highly scrutinized during the season, which also happened to be the last year of his contract. He had an up-and-down regular season, ending with 22 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and a 87.7 rating, but throughout the criticism Boldin said Flacco remained confident and “didn’t change anything about his game.”
The criticism continued as the Ravens lost four of their last five games to end the season, but Flacco turned things around in the playoffs. He put together the best four-game stretch of his career when it mattered most, posting a 117.2 rating in the postseason with 11 touchdowns and no interceptions. In the Super Bowl he went 22-for-33 with 287 yards and three touchdowns and Boldin was his top target with more than 100 yards and a TD.
As he enters free agency, Flacco, now a Super Bowl MVP, will now almost certainly be paid like an elite quarterback by the Ravens.
