With free agency just a day away, movement in the NFL is about to start in full force. One team looking to make some waves is the Philadelphia Eagles, who are intrigued by St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola, according to CSNPhilly.com.
Danny Amendola rumors: Eagles interested in free agent wide receiver
Philadelphia is already deep at wide receiver, but that won’t stop it from trying to strengthen the position.

On the surface, the signing wouldn't make a ton of sense. Philadelphia already has three solid wideouts in DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant while having a bevy of other needs. However, none of those men play in the slot, something Amendola thrives at.

New head coach Chip Kelly likes to run an up-tempo style with lots of run after the catch, something Amendola brings to the table. He's a high energy guy who can keep the sticks moving, especially on third down. It's not hard to see why Kelly would take a chance.
Amendola probably won’t cost a mint when you consider his injury history. After playing 30 games over his first two seasons, the diminutive receiver suited up for only one game in 2011 and 11 in 2012. He was very productive in his limited action last year, catching 63 balls for 666 yards and three touchdowns.
At 27, Amendola will have multiple suitors which is sure to drive the price up somewhat, but there’s a good chance the Eagles can get him much cheaper than some of the bigger names at the position.
