Kyle Arrington has agreed to a deal that will keep him in a New England Patriots uniform for four more years, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports. Further details of the contract have not been revealed. Arrington became an unrestricted free agent on March 12.

Addressing the secondary is one of the Patriots' biggest priorities this offseason. The team is trying hard to re-sign cornerback Aqib Talib, and hosted safety Adrian Wilson on Friday. In Arrington, New England knows it has a solid starter. Arrington started the last three seasons in the Pats' defensive backfield, racking up 233 tackles and eight interceptions over that span.

SB Nation blog Pats Pulpit does not anticipate Arrington’s re-signing affecting how the team approaches Talib.

The move likely will not handle the way the Patriots handle negotiations with Aqib Talib. The Patriots did not find Arrington effective on the outside - hence his demotion and the acquisition of Talib in the first place. Nonetheless, he does still provide some insurance in that area. And in terms of slot cornerbacks, there aren’t many, if any, better options out there.

The Patriots have been busy Friday. They are also hosting defensive end John Abraham and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. Former Buffalo Bills wideout Donald Jones signed with New England earlier in the day.
