Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Eric Wright lost his grievance with the team, according to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune. Wright's $7.75 million salary in 2013 is no longer guaranteed, as a result. He tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug last season -- he says it was Adderall -- and was suspended for four games by the NFL as a result.

The veteran defensive back lost money as a result of his positive performance-enhancing drug test last season.

When Wright tested positive, the team enacted a clause in his contract to void the guaranteed money, and Wright then appealed that decision to no avail. He signed a five-year deal worth a total of $37.5 million last offseason.
He started 10 games for the Bucs last season and finished the year with a career-low 37 tackles. Prior to signing with Tampa Bay, he spent one year with Detroit and four with the Cleveland Browns. Over the course of his career, he has appeared in 85 games, making 81 starts.
