NFL Draft 2013: Marcus Lattimore will show recovery process in rehab workout

The South Carolina running back is out to prove he’s not done yet.

JD Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

South Carolina Gamecocks running back Marcus Lattimore is on the mend and will show where he is in the recovery process when he works out for 15-20 minutes for NFL personnel today, according to Tony Pauline.

Lattimore's career was put in serious jeopardy when he shredded his right knee, tearing his ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL in late October against the Tennessee Volunteers.

It was one of the most gruesome injuries sustained in some time, but that isn’t stopping the determined Lattimore from making a comeback and trying to get himself drafted.

Before being injured, Lattimore was the consensus No. 1 running back entering the draft, well ahead of the current top-rated back, Eddie Lacy of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

While at South Carolina, Lattimore gained 662 yards and scored 11 touchdowns during just nine games in 2012. The year prior, Lattimore’s season was also cut short by a torn ACL, but only after he amassed 818 yards and 10 scores.
