Tony Romo is going to be the Dallas Cowboys quarterback for a long, long time thanks to a six-year, $108 million contract extension he signed on Friday. Let's take a look at some of the reactions from around the internets.
Cowboys give Tony Romo contract extension; World reacts
How is the world reacting to Tony Romo’s six-year, $108 million contract extension?

Donovan McNabb put the deal in perspective, sounding only a little sour about it:
Tony Romo 6 yr 55 million dollar extension. Wow really, with one playoff win. You got to be kidding me
— Donovan McNabb (@donovanjmcnabb) March 29, 2013
If anyone knows about overpaying for a player, it’s McNabb.
Nets power forward Reggie Evans had an opinion, too:
JERRY JONE. WHAT THE HELL U DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
— ReggieEvans30 (@ReggieEvans30) March 29, 2013
And so did everyone else:
Apparently Jerry Jones woke up and saw his shadow. 6 more years of mediocrity. #Romo

I like the #Romo signing...his problem has been whack WR, lame OL, defense that couldn't help the cause
— Jay Bir (@TheJayBir) March 29, 2013
Definitely going to need to get all the “whack” and “lame” stuff away from Romo this year. Fortunately, Jerry Jones is the Cowboys owner and general manager. What could go wrong?
Naturally, the Iron Sheik weighed in, because if anyone knows a thing or two about being an object of derision, it’s the Iron Sheik:
The Tony Romo get new contract mean Dallas new name the Dallas Dog Shit Dumb fucking Piece of garbage Cowboys go fuck yourself #teamsheikie

Speaking of analysis, it’s probably worth pointing out that “best year” is a relative term.
The Dallas Cowboys have a top 7 QB coming off of his best year. They paid him. It is a smart move. Seriously. (ducking) #ROMO

Romo did post a career-best in passing yards, with 4,903, but he also led the league with 19 interceptions, also a career “best.” He threw 31 touchdowns, a career best, in 2011, with just 10 interceptions.
And how about Jerry himself?
Finally, lest we get too bogged down in the relative value of Romo’s deal, let’s remember that the man once did this:
