Cowboys give Tony Romo contract extension; World reacts

How is the world reacting to Tony Romo’s six-year, $108 million contract extension?

Tony Romo is going to be the Dallas Cowboys quarterback for a long, long time thanks to a six-year, $108 million contract extension he signed on Friday. Let's take a look at some of the reactions from around the internets.

Donovan McNabb put the deal in perspective, sounding only a little sour about it:

If anyone knows about overpaying for a player, it’s McNabb.

Nets power forward Reggie Evans had an opinion, too:

And so did everyone else:

Definitely going to need to get all the “whack” and “lame” stuff away from Romo this year. Fortunately, Jerry Jones is the Cowboys owner and general manager. What could go wrong?

Naturally, the Iron Sheik weighed in, because if anyone knows a thing or two about being an object of derision, it’s the Iron Sheik:

Speaking of analysis, it’s probably worth pointing out that “best year” is a relative term.

Romo did post a career-best in passing yards, with 4,903, but he also led the league with 19 interceptions, also a career “best.” He threw 31 touchdowns, a career best, in 2011, with just 10 interceptions.

And how about Jerry himself?

Finally, lest we get too bogged down in the relative value of Romo’s deal, let’s remember that the man once did this:
