No team has been more active than the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, and that trend seems to be continuing as the Chiefs are interested in Miami Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.
NFL free agency 2013: Sean Smith getting interest from Chiefs
Kansas City is getting the job done by signing its own players and making moves outside the organization. Now, the Chiefs have their sights on another star.

Smith is widely considered to be the best corner on the soon-to-be free agent market along with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, whom Kansas City is also rumored to have interest in.
The Chiefs don’t have a ton of cap space, with under $10 million after money is alotted for draft picks, but they can move enough cash around to bring in Smith, provided he gets the expected $7-8 million per year.

Kansas City added corner Dunta Robinson on a three-year deal Friday night, but that hasn't stopped them from pursuing other secondary options, including Smith. With Brandon Flowers locking down one corner position for the Chiefs, general manager John Dorsey is looking for someone to replace Jalil Brown on the other side.
Robinson is expected by some to play the slot for Kansas City, likely moving nickel corner Javier Arenas into a free safety role or reserve/punt returner situation. Without the terms of Robinson's contract, it's tough to figure the team's plans for him.
