The Chicago Bears are taking a look at everybody this offseason. This includes English Olympian Lawrence Okoye, who has worked out for the team, according to Dave Birkett.

When the Olympics were over, Okoye wanted a fresh challenge. Now he has found one.

Okoye, who made the Olympics in discus, is trying to make it in the NFL as a defensive lineman. Okoye is only 21 years old and has the body to play in the league at 6’5 and 300 pounds.
He has already worked out for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers, perhaps drumming up a decent amount of interest in NFL circles.
Okoye, who has never played a single game of football in his life, is turning some heads, according to The Guardian. The British import ran 4.88 and 4.78 40-yard dashes at the Super Regional combine in Dallas, certainly getting some attention.
Given his size and athleticism, Okoye is likely to garner at least an invite to offseason workouts with some team. Whether or not the Bears take a chance is up to general manager Phil Emery.
