Still recovering from a season-ending foot injury, New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes won't be ready for the start of the team's offseason program, according to Manish Mehta.
Santonio Holmes injury: Jets WR will miss start of offseason activities
New York’s top receiver will likely be limited for a while.

Holmes was put on injured reserve last year and then had surgery to fix his LisFranc foot injury in October. The Jets are simply hoping to have Holmes back for the start of the regular season in September, and expect that he will be limited all the way through training camp, according to CBSSports.com.
In seven NFL seasons, Holmes has only been able to stay on the field for 16 games three times. While productive, Holmes has eclipsed the 1,000 yard receiving mark once, back in 2009 with 1,248 yards as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Holmes is still on the Jets’ books for three years after signing a massive 5-year, $45 million deal following the NFL lockout back in 2011.
