2013 NFL Draft buzz: Arthur Brown on the rise

NFL Draft stocks continue to rise and fall as the 2013 draft approaches. Whose stock is rising and who is falling? We dive into some of the latest buzz.

The 2013 NFL Draft is just over a week away, but even after months of preparation, draft boards continue to fluctuate. Prospects continue to shuffle around the country as teams do their final due diligence. Who is rising, who is falling and which players are visiting where? Here’s a look at some of the latest NFL Draft buzz.

Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown is one player on the rise and according to DrafInsider.net, Brown could be selected in the first round. His move up could drop other linebacker prospects, including Kevin Minter and Manti Te’o out of Round 1. Brown isn’t the only linebacker on the rise, as the report also lists Connecticut’s Sio Moore as another player who is moving up draft boards.

While Brown has worked his way into the first-round discussion, it’s possible no running back will be selected in the first 32 picks. Draft Insider’s report indicates as many as six running backs could go in the second round, but it’s likely none will be selected in the first. Eddie Lacy, Johnathan Franklin, Giovani Bernard and Monte Ball are listed as likely second-round picks.

NFL teams continue to shuffle prospects in and out of their facilities, gathering as much last-minute intel as possible. The New England Patriots have been busy this week with Louisiana Tech wide receiver Quinton Patton, UCLA defensive end Datone Jones and Florida State defensive end Tank Carradine among the players visiting New England, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.

The Atlanta Falcons are thought to be in the market for a cornerback, and they've visited with a few recently. Atlanta met with Connecticut corners Blidi Wreh-Wilson and Dwayne Gratz while also bringing in Utah State's Will Davis, according to Tony Pauline of Draft Insider,

LSU offensive tackle Chris Faulk missed last season due to a knee injury, but he continues to draw interest from NFL teams. Faulk visited the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
