Alabama Crimson Tide running back Eddie Lacy is trying to explain his uninspiring pro day with less than a week remaining before the draft, according to the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal-Sentinel.
NFL Draft 2013: Eddie Lacy cites lack of training time for poor Pro Day
The star running back from Alabama has some explaining to do after looking so bad in workouts leading up to the draft.

Lacy believes lack of practice time caused him to be out of shape, something that could have him free-falling down draft boards if teams don’t buy his reasoning.
The top-rated running back is coming off a strained hamstring that sidelined him for the NFL combine. Then at his pro day, Lacy ran 40-yard dashes of 4.57 and 4.60 before cutting the workout short because he was tired.
Many believe that Lacy's best chance to go in the first round would be at No. 26 to the Green Bay Packers, who are in dire need of a running back. Not surprisingly, Lacy believes it would be a good fit, per the article.
“Yeah, I think so,” Lacy said. “They’re very talented on offense and I feel like I’d be able to help out a lot if they picked me at that position.”
Last year, the national champion rushed for 1,322 yards on 6.5 yards per carry and scored 17 touchdowns with his punishing, bowling-ball running style.
