With the 2013 NFL Draft just a few short days away, almost all of the league’s attention is focused on final workouts, mock drafts and potential trades to move up or down the pecking order come draft day. Saturday did, however, bring football fans some news for the guys already getting paid to play.
NFL news roundup: Davone Bess could be traded, Julian Edelman visits Boston Marathon victim
The Dolphins may be looking to make a trade with an abundance of wide receivers on their roster. And in other news, Julian Edelman did something pretty great for a man who just had his world changed.

Perhaps the biggest development of the day was a report saying there is a 75 percent chance Darrelle Revis is traded within a week. The report does not list any specific teams in talks with the Jets, although the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are believed to be interested if the price is right. Revis is currently progressing from surgery after tearing his ACL last season.
Another interesting trade rumor came out of Miami. If the Dolphins draft a wide receiver in next week's draft, Davone Bess could be on his way out. As this SB Nation report details, the addition of another wideout would make Bess expendable after the team signed Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline this offseason.
In a story that really should be getting more press, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and actor Bradley Cooper made a surprise visit to a Boston hospital to visit Boston Marathon bombing victim Jeffrey Bauman, Jr. Bauman lost both of his legs in the blast while waiting for his girlfriend to finish the race. Danario Alexander will remain with the San Diego Chargers after no team made an offer for him before Friday night's deadline. As Bolts From The Blue details, GM Tom Telesco took a risk by offering Alexander the lowest possible tenure for next year's contract. Alexander is undeniably talented, but he's often been injured throughout his career and has already had five knee surgeries. Now, San Diego will get his services on the cheaper side as the 24-year-old wideout looks to prove he can stay healthy over the course of a 16-game season.
The folks at NFL.com took a look back at what would've happened if the Colts took Ryan Leaf instead of Peyton Manning with their No. 1 pick in 1998. That sure would've changed some things, huh?
