2013 NFL Draft team needs: Chicago Bears
The Bears are entering a new era under head coach Marc Trestman.

The Chicago Bears looked to be poised for a playoff run in 2012, but after a 7-1 start, the team went 3-5 down the stretch and missed the postseason with a 10-6 record. That cost head coach Lovie Smith his job, and Marc Trestman, formerly of the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, was hired to take the team back to the top.

The biggest issue for Chicago last season was keeping its quarterback upright. The Bears gave up 44 sacks, which ranked 25th in the NFL, and their 87 quarterback hits allowed was good for 27th in the league. Chicago added four linemen to the roster in free agency, but depth could still be an issue.
Top three needs
Linebacker -- Offensive line may have been the biggest issue in 2012, but linebacker could be the biggest going forward. Brian Urlacher is likely gone, as is Nick Roach. Lance Briggs started all 16 games last season, but as an 11-year veteran, he's in the twilight of his career.
Offensive guard -- The Bears brought in Matt Slauson and Eben Britton in free agency, but they are two of just three true guards on the roster. The remaining players in the rotation are converted tackles.
Safety -- Chicago is young at safety, and more talented bodies to provide depth and competition couldn’t hurt.
Ideal pick -- Arthur Brown, OLB, Kansas State
