The St. Louis Rams are in discussions with the Buffalo Bills to see if they can trade up to the No. 8 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Rapoport could not say specifically who the Rams are targeting in the top 10, but that they have about five possible options for the selection.
NFL trade rumors: Rams, Bills reportedly discuss 1st round trade
The Rams are trying to trade with the Bills up to No. 8 overall in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Of the Rams' team needs, safety appears to be the most glaring. None of this year's crop of safeties is considered a bona fide top 10 talent, however. The Rams currently have two selections in the first round, and more than likely one of Kenny Vaccaro or Jonathan Cyprien (for example) will be available at No. 16 or No. 22 overall.
The Rams have lesser needs at offensive guard, wide receiver and outside linebacker, however, and all of those positions have potentially elite talent.
Earlier tonight, Adam Schefter guaranteed that one of offensive guards Chance Warmack and Jonathan Cooper would go in the top 10. In terms of receivers, Tavon Austin would fit very well as a slot receiver in the Rams' offense and has often been projected as a top 10 pick. As for outside linebackers, this year's draft class is deep with talent.
