The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel with the No. 2 overall pick. Let's see how SB Nation blog Big Cat Country has to say about the take.
2013 NFL Draft results: Luke Joeckel an ‘unconventional’ but ‘ballsy’ pick
What does SB Nation’s Jaguars blog have to say about the Luke Joeckel pick?

And here’s Alfie Crow’s take:
It's an unconventional pick, as right tackles are generally drafted much later, and it's going to be met with plenty of criticism. It's a ballsy pick however, and it does fill a massive need on the offensive line.
Joeckel was considered by most to be the favorite to be the first pick of the Kansas City Chiefs before they elected to select Central Michigan's Eric Fisher. Joeckel, 6-6, 310 pounds, was a consensus All-American and was the winner of the Outland Trophy in his junior season as he blocked for the eventual-Heisman Trophy winner, Johnny Manziel.
The Jaguars, barring a trade, will now pick again with the 33rd overall pick on Friday afternoon in the second round.
