The Miami Dolphins have made their first selection of the 2013 NFL Draft. With the third overall pick, after a trade with the Oakland Raiders, Miami selected defensive end Dion Jordan from Oregon.
The team also entered the draft with several needs to be addressed. With the pick, the Dolphins still could be looking at offensive tackle, cornerback, defensive end, tight end, wide receiver, and running back on the day.
The Dolphins gave up the 12th and 42nd picks to move up to the third spot, which was a small price to pay, considering what they got for him:
Personally, I love this move. There is a chance to bust, but this is a GREAT bold move by the Dolphins. Getting to move up to the third pick and grab Dion Jordan for just, essentially, the 42nd pick, is amazing.
