The Miami Dolphins have traded wide receiver Davone Bess to the Cleveland Browns, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Rapoport adds that Bess received a three-year extension as part of the deal. The teams swapped draft picks, including fourth-round choices, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

After several days of haggling, the Browns acquired Davone Bess from the Dolphins.

The Browns had been trying to acquire the Dolphins receiver for several days now, but had been unable to get a deal done until Day 2 of the 2013 NFL Draft. Miami reportedly wanted a fourth- or fifth-round pick for the 27-year-old slot receiver.
Bess spent the past five seasons in Miami since being signed as an undrafted free agent. In the 2012 season, he caught 61 receptions for 778 yards and one touchdown.
Bess joins a receiving corps that is rather thin behind Josh Gordon. He could compete with Greg Little for the No. 2 starting position.
