On Friday night in rounds two and three of the 2013 NFL Draft, the four AFC West teams were busy executing their different draft strategies.
NFL Draft grades 2013: AFC West adding playmakers
In what is considered a weak division, the four teams went out and added some explosive players to their rosters.

The Denver Broncos are coming off a division title and a 13-3 season, while the other three teams, the Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders, were simply thinking of improving to respectability.
Denver Broncos: C
Denver took running back Montee Ball of Wisconsin in the second round, a somewhat head-scratching move. The Broncos needed a running back but Ball was a surprising choice considering the players who remained on the board. CBS Sports analyst Pete Prisco wasn't thrilled, point to better running backs to be had.
Questions From Day 2
Why the Jets took Geno, why Barkley is still waiting and the arrival of the Honey Badger. In the third round, South Florida corner Kayvon Webster was taken by John Elway and Co. It's somewhat of a boom or bust pick, as Webster has terrific speed and feet but a lackluster on-field track record.
Kansas City Chiefs: B-
This team is almost impossible to grade for a few reasons. They didn’t have a second-round pick but possessed two thirds and took players that do not fill positions of need.
The Chiefs needed an inside linebacker in the worst way and passed to take Travis Kelce, a tight end from Cincinnati. Kelce is a great prospect with elite speed and size. Problem is, he's behind Tony Moeaki and Anthony Fasano. Prisco absolutely loves Kelce, comparing him to Jason Witten.
With the 96th pick, Kansas City drafted Arkansas running back Knile Davis, who has tremendous talent but always seems to be hurt. He's broken the same ankle twice and played awful in his senior season for the Razorbacks. Can't go crazy with these picks one way or the other.
Oakland Raiders: B+
The Raiders need to improve in many areas and plugged in two potential starters with the picks of Florida State offensive tackle Menelik Watson and UConn linebacker Sio Moore.
Oakland nabbed Watson in the second round with the pick it acquired from Miami. Watson is a large man who has limited experience but a ton of upside. If the Raiders can coach this kid, they might have a serious player.
Moore comes from a quietly good program. The young inside linebacker has been well-schooled and might be able to step in right away for the Silver and Black. NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock thinks Oakland did well.
San Diego Chargers: B
No team made more of a splash on Friday, save the New York Jets, when the Chargers traded up to draft Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o. Te'o is one of the most polarizing players in the draft, as some are high on him while others are thoroughly unimpressed. Te'o has great instincts but can that make up for a lack of speed and strength?
In the third round, California wide receiver Keenan Allen went to San Diego. Allen is a good fit for what the Chargers like to do. If the line can keep Philip Rivers upright, Allen could be a difference-maker. NFL Network analyst Charles Davis is crazy about Allen.
