The fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft is in the books, and Round 6 is now in full swing. Some big names went in Round 5, including Jesse Williams and Denard Robinson. On top of that, there was a run of kickers and punters. The sixth round kicked off with picks from the Jaguars, Chiefs, Lions and Raiders, and we've got the five selections following those below:
2013 NFL Draft results, No. 173-177: Cardinals select Ryan Swope, Bills add a kicker
The Cardinals added a receiver to their draft class, and the Browns finally made a pick.

173. Denver Broncos: Vinston Painter, OT, Virginia Tech
The Broncos are firmly entrenched as a playoff contender now, so having a strong draft is crucial, especially in the late rounds. Painter is a strong offensive line prospect, but the Broncos aren’t particularly in need of a tackle at this point. He’ll compete to make it onto the roster, but does seem to have decent upside and could develop into a reliable backup going forward.
174. Arizona Cardinals: Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M
Swope was one of the most productive receivers in college football last season, becoming the favorite target of freshman Hesiman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel. The senior pass-catcher was expected to perform well and did exactly that, catching 72 balls for 913 yards and eight touchdowns.
In his junior season, Swope put up even larger numbers. In 2011, Swope hauled in 89 receptions for 1,207 yards and 11 touchdowns, the first two stats being school records.
175. Cleveland Browns: Jamoris Slaughter, SS, Notre Dame
The Browns have had a very quiet draft to this point, not having picks in the second, fourth or fifth rounds, but Slaughter represents solid value for the team. He’s part of a very strong safety class and could easily find himself in a starting role after a little growth and learning the ropes. The Browns need some help at the position as well, so Slaughter could find himself playing well before most sixth-round picks.
176. Houston Texans: David Quessenberry, OT, San Jose St.
The San Jose State Spartans were excellent last season, and Quessenberry was an integral piece of that puzzle. He played mostly at left tackle for the Spartans and was solid. He’s got a lot more upside than many players taken in the sixth round, and could be a future starter with the Texans if they want to groom him.
Quessenberry may not have a true position in the NFL, but he has the body type to develop into a starting caliber offensive lineman. He could play any of the five positions along the line depending on how he progresses when he enters the NFL.
177. Buffalo Bills: Dustin Hopkins, K, Florida St.
Rian Lindell was the kicker for Buffalo last season, and was relatively productive. He had an 87.5 field-goal percentage, but he's getting up there in years. Hopkins has as much claim to the title of best kicker in the draft as Caleb Sturgis, who was drafted in Round 5, and he should immediately take over and be productive for Buffalo in 2013.
