2013 NFL Draft results: Redskins select Jawan Jamison in 7th round

The seventh round is beginning to wind down, as the Redskins, Vikings, Colts, Seahawks and Packers made their picks i the final round.

The bottom of the barrel is beginning to be scraped as the last round of the 2013 NFL Draft is beginning to wind down. There are still several picks yet to be made, especially compensatory selections. The Redskins selected Jawan Jamison, the Vikings grabbed Everett Dawkins, the Colts got Kerwynn Williams, the Seahawks selected Ty Powell and the Packers grabbed

Here’s a look at pick 228 through 232:

228. Washington Redskins: Jawan Jamison, RB, Rutgers, 5'7, 203 pounds

The Redskins added a running back to their top-ranked rushing attack in the seventh round out of Rutgers. Jamison likely won't take carries away from Alfred Morris and will probably compete for a special teams position on the team.

229. Minnesota Vikings: Everett Dawkins, DT, Florida State, 6'2, 292

Dawkins was limited by Florida States defensive line rotation but he is strong and has the potential to get on the field early in his career. He has a quick first step and should add depth to the Vikings’ defensive line.

230. Indianapolis Colts: Kerwynn Williams, RB, USU, 5'8, 195 pounds

Williams is small and isn’t the quickest of running backs, but he does produce as he carried the ball for over 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior. He’ll compete for time in the Colts’ backfield and for a spot on special teams this year.

231. Seattle Seahawks: Ty Powell, DE, Harding, 6'2, 249 pounds

Powell is only the second player from Harding to be named an All-American. He was also a Senior Bowl invitee. Powell should add depth to an already strong Seahawks defensive line and earn a spot as a special teamer.

232. Green Bay Packers: Sam Barrington, LB, USF, 6'1, 246 pounds

Barrington was named as a second-team, All Big-East selection in 2012 as he made 72 tackles, including 2.5 sacks and an interception. The Packers could use some more depth at the linebacker position and Barrington should help.
