The SEC has long been the most dominant conference in college football and they routinely send the most talent to the NFL. This year has been no different, as a whopping 63 SEC players were picked in the 2013 NFL Draft, nearly a full quarter of the entire 254-player pool. 12 SEC players went in the first round alone, followed by the ACC with six.
2013 NFL Draft results: SEC dominates draft week
As expected, the SEC had by far the highest number of draft picks this year.
The Big Ten had a rough draft, with only one player, Wisconsin's Travis Frederick, going in the first. They ended up with 22 draftees, second lowest out of the BCS conferences.
The small schools were well represented this year. Central Michigan's Eric Fisher became the first-ever MAC player to go No. 1. 19 FCS players had their name called, and 11 players hailed from the Division II ranks.
