NFL undrafted free agents 2013: Eagles adding depth on both sides of the ball

After scoring an offensive tackle and versatile tight end in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles and new head coach Chip Kelly are adding depth on both sides of the ball with undrafted free agent signings.

USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles and new head coach Chip Kelly solidified their offensive line with their first-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, then proceeded to address the team's defensive needs while still sprinkling in some potential weapons for Kelly's offense over the past three days at Radio City Music Hall.

After adding Stanford tight end Zach Ertz in the second round, the Eagles spent five of their next six picks on the defensive side of the ball. The only outlier was the team's move to trade up to the start of the fourth round so they could select USC quarterback Matt Barkley, who now joins a quarterback battle with Michael Vick Nick Foles, and former Kelly signal caller Dennis Dixon.

Once the draft concluded on Saturday, Philadelphia began the push to sign undrafted free agents. Two former LSU players can be found on the list, including mercurial punter Brad Wing, a talented kicker whose off-the-field issues scared teams off during the draft.

A partial list of the undrafted free agents reported to be signing with Philadelphia so far, as compiled by Bleeding Green Nation:

  • Matt Tobin, OL, Iowa
  • Jake Knott, LB, Iowa State
  • Kyle Quinn, C, Arizona
  • Issac Remington, DL, Oregon
  • Russell Shepard, WR, LSU
  • Miguel Maysonet, RB, Stony Brook
  • Damion Square, DL, Alabama
  • Brad Wing, P, LSU
  • Matthew Tucker, RB, TCU
