The New York Jets sixth round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Michigan's William Campbell will change positions in the NFL. Campbell played defensive tackle for the majority of his college career, but will move to offensive guard with the Jets.

The Jets selected Michigan defensive tackle William Campbell in the sixth round, but Campbell will move to the offensive line in New York.

This move was somewhat expected as Campbell worked out as a guard in some of his pre-draft auditions around the league. Campbell briefly played along the offensive line for Michigan for part of the 2010 season, but was moved back to the defensive line.
Moving Campbell to offensive line makes a lot of sense for the Jets, as they need a lot more help on that side of the ball. New York lost both of their starting guards from last season in Matt Slauson and Brandon Moore. Campbell won't be expected to compete for a starting position in 2013 as the Jets added Willie Colon and drafted Brian Winters in the third round. Winters is making a position switch as well, but a much more manageable one, as he played tackle in college, but will slide over to guard.
