Free agent defensive end Israel Idonije visited the Tennessee Titans on Monday, according to a report from Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. Idonije has drawn interest from a few teams and could be closer to making decision now that the NFL Draft has passed.
Defensive end Israel Idonije visits Tennessee
Israel Idonije has an offer to return to Chicago, but could the defensive end wind up in Tennessee instead?

The 32-year-old Idonije spent the last nine seasons with the Chicago Bears. He has a standing offer to return to Chicago, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, but has also drawn interest from the Titans and 49ers. San Francisco and Tennessee showed interest in Idonije before the NFL Draft, but Monday's visit to Tennessee was his first free agent visit of the offseason.
Idonije is versatile enough to play multiple spots along the defensive line and recorded 7.5 sacks last season. He played mostly defensive end last season, but slid inside to play defensive tackle at times. With his versatility, Idonije would be an excellent depth addition in Tennessee. The Titans signed defensive end Ropati Pitoitua earlier this offseason.
While he is older, Idonije has been reliable and productive in recent seasons. He’s played in 47 of 48 regular season games over the last three seasons, recording 20.5 sacks during that span.
