Bills release Aaron Corp and others to make room for draft class

After drafting eight players and signing a number of undrafted free agents, the Buffalo Bills released four players on Monday.

The Buffalo Bills released quarterback Aaron Corp and three other players on Monday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. With Monday's moves, the Bills now have 90 players on their offseason roster, the maximum allowed by the NFL.

Buffalo signed Corp in February, but he became expendable after the Bills drafted E.J. Manuel in the first round and signed Jeff Tuel as an undrafted free agent. Corp, once a top college prospect, began his college career at USC before transferring to Richmond. With Tuel and Manuel joining Kevin Kolb and Tarvaris Jackson, the Bills now have four quarterbacks on the roster. Tuel will likely compete for a practice squad spot, but could make the active roster if Kolb or Jackson are released.

In addition to Corp, the Bills also released tight end Joe Sawyer, offensive tackle Adam Grant and kicker Chris Koepplin. Sawyer spent training camp with the Bills last season and was signed to a reserve/future contract in January. Grant spent time on the Broncos practice squad last season, before signing a reserve/future contract with Buffalo in December. Koepplin signed with Buffalo earlier this month, but became expendable when the Bills drafted kicker Dustin Hopkins in the sixth round.
