Karlos Dansby, regarded by most as the best linebacker left on the free agent market, has signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, according to Revenge of the Birds.
Karlos Dansby agrees to 1-year deal with Cardinals
The former Cardinal is back in the desert after a few years with the Dolphins

Dansby was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2004 draft, and spent the first six years of his career in the desert before signing a big free agent deal with the Miami Dolphins in 2010. Dansby was released by Miami earlier this offseason, despite putting up his second consecutive season with 100-plus tackles.
Dansby had drawn interest from the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, and Houston Texans, but ultimately decided to head back to his original team.
”The addition of Dansby gives the team great depth at inside linebacker and quality insurance should Daryl Washington have to miss more than just the four games that he is currently suspended for under the NFL substance abuse policy,” Jess Root of Revenge of the Birds writes. “Washington’s future is a bit unclear presently because of a domestic abuse arrest.”
The financial details have not been released yet, but by signing a one year deal, Dansby could be trying to position himself for another multi-year contract a year from now.
