On Mother’s Day, news broke that former Lions wideout Titus Young found his way back to jail. He was arrested and charged with burglary, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest on Friday night. This latest incident marked his third arrest in less than a week.

The news around the league wasn’t all negative Sunday. Let’s look at some of the other headlines.
Head coach Mike McCarthy is looking for the best way to protect Aaron Rodgers, who recently signed a contract extension making him the NFL’s latest $100 million man. He plans to start Bryan Bulaga at left tackle and Josh Sitton at left guard, the Packers’ two best offensive linemen.
T.J. Lang, who started all 16 games at left guard last season, will move to right guard. Marshall Newhouse is also flipping sides, moving to right tackle. He’ll be competing against Don Barclay and Derek Sherrod for that job.
The rookie quarterback starting under center isn’t a ridiculous notion, according to Steve Corkan of the Contra Costa Times. Wilson is already looking like he fits right in with an NFL offense. Levi Damien of Silver and Black Pride says Wilson was easily one of the standouts in rookie camp:
There is no question as to why he was considered by some to be one of the top quarterbacks in this draft. He threw tight spirals with great velocity and accuracy all day long.
Gibbs was the offensive coordinator in Denver from 1995-2003, and now he will serve as an offensive consultant for the team. His zone blocking scheme knowledge, along with Greg Knapp joining the Broncos this offseason, says plenty what the team is trying to do this season. Who will benefit here? The Broncos also drafted Montee Ball whose skill set best translates to a zone blocking offense. This hire has to get you excited about the Broncos run game and Montee Ball.
His rookie year was forgettable, but if Weeden can produce in Norv Turner’s new offense, he’ll be staying in the mix with the Browns going forward. Cleveland is giving Weeden the chance to prove himself. Even a decent campaign in his second season could mean he remains under center going forward.
