Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert has reported to the team's minicamp and will be practicing, according to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star. This marks the end of a long offseason that saw trade rumors swirling around the 28-year-old.
Branden Albert reports to Chiefs minicamp
As expected, Branden Albert has reported to minicamp. The offseason saga appears to be winding down.

The Chiefs placed the franchise tag on Albert after failing to extend his contract last year. They then tried to trade him to the Miami Dolphins before the NFL Draft, but negotiations fell apart. Albert's future with the team was further clouded when the team selected Eric Fisher with the No. 1 overall pick. Fisher will start his career at right tackle.
Albert reportedly still wants an extension with the Chiefs, but for now it appears he’s going to focus on football and play out his 1-year deal. He’s slated to make $9.828 million in the 2013 season.
