There is "nothing imminent" on a new deal between the New York Giants and wide receiver Victor Cruz, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the Daily News. Talks are still ongoing, but the two sides don't appear to be close on a new contract.
Victor Cruz rumors: ‘Nothing imminent’ on Giants’ contract
Contract negotiations between the Giants and Victor Cruz continue to move at a leisurely pace.

Cruz is a restricted free agent, and the team placed a first-round tender on him worth $2.879 million. Cruz is reportedly looking for $10-$11 million a year, while the Giants have offered him a deal worth around $8 million.
Cruz had 86 receptions for 1,092 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, his second as a full-time starter after a breakout 2011. He wants to stay in New York and the Giants want him around long term, but negotiations aren’t making much progress. He’s skipping OTAs and it’s not a guarantee that he will be available for training camp.
