Chicago Bears offensive lineman Gabe Carimi is skipping OTA workouts for the second day in a row, according to ESPN Chicago's Jeff Dickerson.

The Bears’ OTA sessions are voluntary, so Carimi probably won’t show up until the mandatory minicamps on June 11-13. A first-round pick in 2011, Carimi started 14 games for the Bears last year, but he’s not expected to play at right tackle this season, and is competing for a spot at guard.
The Bears appear to have given up on Carimi after just two years, signing Jermon Bushrod and drafting guard Kyle Long in the first round to upgrade the offensive line. It's hard to see where he fits in on the new roster, and even though these camps are "voluntary", he's missing chances to impress the new coaching staff.
