New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith's search for a new agent may be coming to an end, as Manish Mehta reports that the "feeling in league circles" is that he will sign with Roc Nation, a sports agency recently created by rapper Jay-Z.
Geno Smith expected to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation
Most people around the league expect Smith to be repped by the rap mogul’s sports agency.

Smith fired his previous agents after a humiliating slide to the second round in the NFL draft. As the quarterback of a New York team, he's an attractive option for sports agencies. Jay-Z's company also reps Robinson Cano, Victor Cruz and Skylar Diggins.
It’s widely believed that if Smith hires Roc Nation, most of the actual agency work would come from partner CAA, as Jay-Z isn’t actually a licensed agent. It’s doubtful if he will be allowed to sit in on contract negotiations. Regardless, the rap mogul has powerful connections and strong ties to New York -- he wrote that one song about the city you may have heard of -- and can use his muscle to make Smith one of the most heavily marketed players in the country.
