The Browns have a potential quarterback battle heading into organized team activities with Brandon Weeden, last year's starter, and recently signed quarterback Jason Campbell. Hoyer, who has started a few games in his career, has likely been added to the mix as competition for a backup position.

Hoyer started for the Arizona Cardinals Week 17 of the 2012 season after coming off the bench to play a week prior. He went 30 for 53 for 330 yards, tossing a touchdown and two interceptions. He spent the first seasons of his career backing up Tom Brady in New England before being released last August.

Through his career, Hoyer has completed 57 of 96 passes for 616 yards and has thrown two interceptions and three touchdowns. He joins Weeden, Campbell, Thaddeus Lewis this offseason.
