The Giants coaches expected Victor Cruz, who is in the middle of a contract dispute, to skip out on organized team activities (OTAs), but not fellow wide out Hakeem Nicks as well. That's what happened, though, according to the Daily News' Ebenezer Samuel:
Hakeem Nicks skips Giants OTAs
The Giants took the field for OTAs on Wednesday, but wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was surprisingly nowhere to be found.

“I don’t know,” (coach Tom) Coughlin said after the session. “He should be here.”
According to reports, Nicks was in Manhattan on Tuesday night, but was nowhere to be found when the Giants took the field Wednesday morning. Coughlin went on to say he figured Nicks would work with “limitations” due to his knee injury suffered in 2012, but since he wasn’t there, that didn’t happen.
Nicks, a first-round pick in the 2009 draft out of North Carolina, has spent all four NFL seasons with the Giants. He has caught 255 passes for 3,726 yards and 27 touchdowns. His best years were 2010 and 2011, when he racked up 2,244 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns.
