D.J. Hayden injury: Raiders rookie sidelined with abdominal issue
D.J. Hayden will miss the rest of OTA sessions with an abdominal injury.

Head coach Dennis Allen says it’s “too early” to say whether this injury is related to the fluke heart injury that nearly killed him last year. Hayden suffered a torn heart cavity during a practice session that required open heart surgery. He was medically cleared in time for the draft process, and the Raiders selected him with the No. 12 pick.
It was thought that the heart condition wasn’t an issue anymore, and Allen is confident that Hayden will be ready for training camp, but the Raiders are concerned enough to shut him down for the rest of the offseason. This is a situation worth monitoring closely over the coming months.
