Houston Texans running back Arian Foster is getting an MRI on his strained calf, according to the Ultimate Texans blog.
Arian Foster injury: Texans RB has MRI on strained calf
Houston, we really don’t have a problem. However, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

This seems like a very procedural kind of thing, but it’s a cautious move by Houston that makes a ton of sense. With the team only in OTAs, the Texans don’t want to take any chances with a star of Foster’s caliber.
Head coach Gary Kubiak doesn’t seem very concerned about Foster’s calf injury, per the blog:
“(He) strained his calf,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “We’re going to get it looked at. I don’t know, it was the first play of team, so we’ll see.”
Last season, Foster was terrific once again as one of the premier backs in the NFL. The former undrafted free agent out of Tennessee rushed for 1,424 yards and a league-leading 17 touchdowns.
Should Foster miss any time, Ben Tate will fill his shoes. Tate is one of the best backup running backs in the NFL, shown by his 942 rushing yards in his rookie season of 2011.
Last year, Tate gained 279 yards on 4.3 yards per carry.
