New Orleans receiver Joe Morgan has had to overcome long odds in order to make the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Walsh University, but those odds might get even longer after Morgan was arrested for DWI suspicion on Saturday evening. Morgan was found asleep behind the wheel of his car around midnight on Saturday and was “swaying on his feet, smelled of alcohol and had unsteady balance and bloodshot eyes.”
Saints WR Joe Morgan arrested for DWI
The third-year pro out of Walsh University was found asleep at the wheel and arrested on suspicion of DWI. Will this postpone a possible breakout season for Morgan?

Morgan later registered 0.218-percent blood-alcohol content, more than double the legal limit of 0.08-percent.
Signed as an undrafted free agent in 2011, Morgan made some noise when he scored twice in the preseason, but was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury before he got a chance to officially make the 53-man roster. He returned in 2012 and made a name for himself with some big-yardage gains with the Saints, finishing with 10 catches for 379 yards and three touchdowns.
Morgan is coming into a season with New Orleans, where he has an opportunity to gain playing time in his third year with the departure of Devery Henderson, but will now have possible legal actions and league suspensions to overcome now, too.
