The San Francisco 49ers signed guard Adam Snyder to a two-year deal on Monday, bringing Snyder back to the the organization where he spent the first seven years of his NFL career.

Adam Snyder is a 49er once again, agreeing to a deal with San Francisco on Monday.

After being drafted in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft, Snyder spent seven seasons in San Francisco before signing a lucrative free agent deal with the Arizona Cardinals last season. Snyder struggled in the first season of his five-year, $17 million deal in Arizona and was released following the NFL Draft.
While Snyder started 69 games during his seven seasons in San Francisco, he'll likely play a backup role if he makes the roster this season. The 49ers have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL with Alex Boone taking over for Snyder at right guard. Instead, Snyder's ability to play across the offensive line should give the 49ers and experienced versatile backup should any injuries occur.
Terms of the two-year deal have not been released, but Snyder is likely to make significantly less than he did last season. Including his signing bonus and base salary, Snyder made $6 million for his lone season in Arizona.
