Mike Iupati injury: 49ers LG had shoulder surgery, expected ready for training camp
Mike Iupati may miss some OTAs after having offseason shoulder surgery, but he should be ready for training camp.

The extent of Iupati’s shoulder injury is unknown, but it has apparently been an issue for some time. He first popped up on the injury report in Week 14 and stayed there for the rest of the regular season and postseason, although he never missed a game. He last had shoulder surgery back in 2007 at Idaho.
Iupati has started every game in his three years with the 49ers and played 98 percent of their snaps last season. He was a Pro Bowler and All-Pro selection in 2012. The 49ers started talking to him about a contract extension, but there’s no timetable on a new deal. He is a free agent after 2014.
