The New England Patriots could be without wide receiver Julian Edelman at the start of training camp, according to the Boston Globe's Shalise Young. Edelman has suffered a setback with his right foot injury that put him on injured reserve in 2012, and is back in a walking boot.
Julian Edelman injury: Patriots WR suffers setback, questionable for training camp
The receiver suffered a setback in rehabbing his injured right foot, and could miss the beginning of training camp.

Edelman re-signed with the Patriots earlier this offseason after becoming a restricted free agent. Before getting hurt, he caught 21 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns, and also saw a lot of work as a punt and kick returner. If healthy, he could see a somewhat expanded role with the Patriots following the departure of Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd. However, he'll probably start behind the newly signed Danny Amendola, and this injury won't help him.
Edelman is entering his fifth season in the NFL, all with the Patriots. He has 69 career receptions for 714 yards and four touchdowns and has also returned three punts for scores.
