It's been a rough couple of weeks for former New York Jet cornerback Cliff Harris, as he was arrested on Tuesday, his third arrest in the last nine days. Harris' latest arrest came as he was on his way to the courthouse, according to KPTV 12.
Former Jet Cliff Harris arrested again
Cliff Harris can’t seem to stay out of trouble as he was arrested while on his way to a court appearance.

Harris was arrested for failure to appear in court on Tuesday after showing up more than an hour and a half late for a court appearance. He was scheduled to appear in Washington Country court at 8:30 a.m. PT for a court appearance following his arrest for domestic harassment last Friday. While driving to the courthouse, Harris was pulled over and cited for speeding, passing in a no-passing zone and driving without a license.
Without a license, Harris wasn’t allowed to drive the rest of the way to the courthouse so he was forced to get a ride. The deputy alerted the courthouse that Harris would be late, but when he still hadn’t arrived by 10 a.m., the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest. He was then arrested when he arrived 15 minutes later.
Then a member of the Jets, Harris was arrested on April 29 in New Jersey for possession of marijuana. He was released by New York the following day. He was arrested again four days later after he allegedly pushed his girlfriend in a restaurant parking lot. During his college career at Oregon, Harris was pulled over and cited for driving 118 mph on a suspended license.
Harris was one of the top cornerbacks in the country coming out of high school, but his college and professional careers have been derailed by off the field issues. He flashed potential while at Oregon, but was dismissed from the team and went undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles last season before being released prior to the start of the regular season.
