Jason MillerHall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly was given the results he hoped to hear on Thursday: that he is cancer-free.
Kelly gave a brief statement through the Bills organization declaring he is free of cancer and thanking the fans as well as God, his friends, and family for their support.

Jim Kelly’s recovery from cancer is by all accounts going well. He’s done with chemo and radiation treatments, which is wonderful news. This weekend Kelly got a hospital visit by another NFL quarterbacking legend, Dan Marino.
It’s a touching moment for sure, but their old rivalry was just too much to ignore. In the blurb on his Instagram post, Kelly wrote:

USA TODAY SportsGood news from Buffalo, as Bills legend Jim Kelly says that the surgery to remove cancer from his upper jaw was successful, and that he is now cancer-free.
Kelly was diagnosed with cancer in May, and underwent a partial maxillectomy -- removal of some of his jaw -- on June 7. The cancer never spread to other parts of his body, and the surgery was expected to be successful at the time. Last week, it was revealed that he would not need further chemotherapy, and now, we have confirmation that Kelly is in good shape: The Hall-of-Famer told Joe Browne that he no longer has cancer.
