Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan plans on signing free agent wide receiver Donte Stallworth, according to Rich Campbell of the Washington Times.
Redskins rumors: Donte Stallworth will sign soon, says Mike Shanahan
The Redskins intend to sign Donte Stallworth after he impressed them in a tryout.

The Redskins brought in Stallworth for a tryout this week, and Shanahan said he was impressed. Barring an unexpected drop in play, the Redskins should have a deal in place with Stallworth in the near future.
Stallworth, who turns 33 in November, is trying to revive his NFL career after a grand total of 25 catches in the last three seasons. He last played for the Redskins in 2011, getting 22 receptions for 309 yards and two touchdowns, but 2012 was a lost season, as he appeared in only one game with the New England Patriots. In the offseason, he was hospitalized with severe burns after a scary hot-air balloon accident, but doctors have since cleared him to play.
