Willis McGahee reports to Broncos minicamp

As expected, McGahee has reported to Denver’s mandatory minicamp.

USA TODAY Sports

Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee is indeed reporting to mandatory minicamps, according to Lindsay Jones of USA Today. It's the first time all offseason he's working out with the team.

McGahee missed the last six games of the season with a broken leg and torn MCL. He is now fully healthy, but per his usual schedule, skipped the voluntary OTA sessions. He was the only Bronco to miss the workouts without an injury excuse, although his agent said he had some family matters to attend to.

McGahee rushed 167 times for 731 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games last season before the injury. He turns 32 in October and is due $2.5 million this season. Meanwhile, the Broncos drafted Montee Ball and have second-year speedster Ronnie Hillman serving as a change-of-pace back. McGahee may have an uphill battle to keep a roster spot in training camp.
