Linebacker Chad Greenway will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday, and will miss the Minnesota Vikings' minicamp next week as a result, according to Vikings Update. Greenway had an MRI taken, and the surgery was deemed necessary.
Chad Greenway injury: Vikings LB needs knee surgery
Chad Greenway, who has not missed a game for the Vikings in his last seven seasons, will be forced to sit out minicamp.

“Just some tenderness in his knee,” head coach Leslie Frazier said. “We ended up doing an MRI and saw some things in there that we thought we needed to go in and clean up. That’s what we’re going to do.”
According to Frazier, Greenway should be fine for the start of Vikings training camp on July 26. The Vikings will need him. Greenway was second in the NFL with 148 tackles last season. He also had three sacks, four pass deflections, one interception and two fumble recoveries.
Greenway is entering his eighth season in the NFL. He missed his entire rookie season due to a torn ACL suffered during the preseason, but has not missed a game for the Vikings since.
