Oakland Raiders returner/wide receiver Josh Cribbs will be out until training camp with his ongoing knee injury, head coach Dennis Allen confirmed Tuesday to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Josh Cribbs injury: Raiders KR/WR out until training camp
Raiders coach Dennis Allen cleared up some confusion about Josh Cribbs’ injury. The return man will be out until training camp.

There was some confusion about Cribbs' recovery timetable after undergoing meniscus surgery in the offseason. New York Jets general manager John Idzik said that his health "isn't quite there yet" after giving him a physical, but Cribbs himself said "I will be ready to play football when it's time to play football."
Cribbs spent the last eight seasons with the Cleveland Browns and emerged as one of the best return men in the league -- he has 11 return touchdowns in his career. Barring any setbacks, his knee shouldn't be a concern going forward, and he will be the Raiders' primary returner when the regular season starts.
