Vonta Leach could return to Baltimore Ravens

One of the best fullbacks in recent times could return to Baltimore if the price is right.

The Baltimore Ravens released fullback Vonta Leach on Tuesday. However, it's possible the Ravens could sign him back onto the team if things break a certain way, according to the team's official website.

General manager Ozzie Newsome believes that once Leach tests the free agent market, there is a possibility he could come back to Baltimore at a lower price than what he was originally signed for. Per the piece:

“There could be an opportunity for him to return to the Ravens once he explores the free agent market, and we could re-visit this before or during training camp,” Newsome said.

The 31-year-old Leach has been a very productive player over the years, being one of the best at his position in recent memory along with other greats such as Lorenzo Neal and Tony Richardson. His production isn't in question, considering he has not only been a pro bowler the past three seasons but also been named to the All-Pro team.

Last year, Leach was named the 45th best player in the NFL by the players in NFL Network’s program, The Top 100 players of 2012.

There will certainly be some interest in Leach, who has proven to be a terrific teammate and excellent run blocker.
