The Oakland Raiders franchise is in a bit of disarray.
Raiders fire PR director
After one season with the team, Raiders public relations director Zak Gilbert was fired by Mark Davis over an article in Sports Illustrated.

Less than a month ago, Amy Trask resigned after more than 25 years as an executive in the Raiders organization. Now, owner Mark Davis, who took over when his father Al Davis passed away, has fired public relations director Zak Gilbert after just one year on the job, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Gilbert had previously spent seven seasons in the Packers front office doing media relations work and was brought on by Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie to do the same in Oakland.
The reason for his firing? Mark Davis didn’t like the way he and his father were portrayed in a recent article by Jim Trotter in Sports Illustrated. In the article, Trotter outlined the shortcomings of Al Davis as a general manager and as an owner in his later years.
The decision to fire Gilbert seems like a knee-jerk reaction, and one that doesn’t reflect positively on an organization that has become known for those types of decisions.
