Free agent fullback Vonta Leach is getting close to finding a new team, and the New York Giants could throw their hat into the ring. Reports surfaced that the Giants are worried Henry Hynoski won't be ready for the regular season, and they may be willing to sign Leach to more than the one-year veteran minimum.

In case you haven't heard, the New England Patriots have problems at the tight end position. As a result, they could look to free agents Dallas Clark and David Thomas for reinforcements. There's a chance neither Rob Gronkowski nor Aaron Hernandez will be available at the start of the season, and the team currently has Jake Ballard, Michael Hoomanawanui and Daniel Fells on the depth chart. Clark played for the Bucs last season, tallying 47 receptions for 435 yards and four touchdowns.
Buffalo Bills lineman Chris Hairston took over at right tackle last year when Erik Pears went down. Now, he's challenging Pears for the full-time starting job. SB Nation blog Buffalo Rumblings called Hairston underrated last year and seems confident he will win the job:
When people discuss Hairston, the conversation generally focuses on his limited athletic upside (and therefore his limited pass-protection upside) and his worrisome track record in the durability department. Those are concerns, to be sure (and his health is especially worrisome), but Hairston is also a very smart player and a high-quality run blocker.
Alex Mack is widely regarded as one of the best centers in the league, and the Cleveland Browns may reward him with a contract extension soon. Mack is set to hit free agency in 2014, but the Browns might not let him get that far. They have several other pending free agents to consider, and may not be able to keep all of them, but they have lots of cap space and appear to be gearing up to pay Mack.
